In 2006 Majid Al Futtaim Fashion signed a deal with the internationally renowned women’s wear business Liz Claiborne Inc, allowing the rights to debut and operate brands such as Juicy Couture and MEXX throughout the region. Today, Juicy Couture is one of the most popular brands in the Middle East and continues to be a retail success for Majid Al Futtaim Fashion with 14 stores currently open across the region and with further plans to expand the casual luxury brand into new markets. Similarly, MEXX has a strong presence across the GCC with stores in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
In 2007, a landmark deal was made, as Majid Al Futtaim Fashion teamed up with one of the UK’s leading fashion retailers – Jane Norman. Appealing to the young, fashion conscious woman, today there are ten Jane Norman stores throughout the region; three in Dubai, a fourth in Bahrain and six in Saudi Arabia.
In 2010, the eclectic Spanish brand HOSS Intropia was acquired, with IT’SUGAR the US confectionary brand with attitude following in 2011 - completing the retail portfolio of Majid Al Futtaim Fashion.
Majid Al Futtaim Fashion believes the strength of a brand’s success is through the focus of its people. Having the right retail structure, with the right people, ensures that a brand’s integrity is maintained to the highest level and that the customer experience is aligned to global standards.
